This is the exact same oroblem i am having., amazon fire stick wont download apps. I have 3 firesticks all of them second generation and I have 4 fire TVs and all of them second generation.
I amazon fire stick wont download apps unable to get the Amazon app store on any of tbem. And most apps that I try to download it says downloading not supported at this time. Only thing I can think of is my tv is not a smart tv it is just an HD tv and using my firesticks or fire tv's is what makes it a smart tv. I have looked everywhere online and no matter how I word it I can not find an answer to why I can not download the app store and most other apps.
And then at times I try to get into one of my apps and it will say something happened with Amazon a d to please sign back in to Amazon appstore to continue but I can't get the app store onto my fire tv or firesticks so I could sign in. So I am just froze there. And if I sign into the Amazon app store using my. Phone or even my fire tablet it is still not recognised as being signed in on my stick or tv because I will still get a prompt asking me to please sign in to the Amazon app store to continue.
I have even sent the Amazon app store app to my fire tv and fire stick using. y phone and fire tablet and would get a message saying it was sent successfully. But I try to find it to open it and the app is nowhere around.
Please somebody give me a answer. I have tested both my Wi-Fi speed as well as my ethernet both of them is fast so it's not that I have used for five different browsers it's not that keeps saying not supported at this time only thing I can think of is my firestick is what's making my TV smart I amazon fire stick wont download apps not have a smart TV I have an HD TV that's the only thing I can think of.

Are you not able to download any apps, not even apps from the store? If you are having trouble downloading any apps outside the store, using Downloader for example, you will need to go into settings an enable third party apps.
